The library’s website
On the library’s website www.soderkoping.se/bibliotek you can find all the services you need 24 hours a day, all year round. You can reserve books and extend your loans, search in the Encyclopaedia Britannica (the world’s biggest reference book) or search for financial support from organisations and foundations in the database Global Grant. All you need to access the services are your library card and PIN code.

e-books, e-audio books and e-music
On the library website, from the comfort of your armchair, you can access our e-books and e-music. You download the e-book to your computer, personal digital assistant or mobile phone and read it on the screen for a borrowing period of 28 days. E-audio books can be listened to whilst you are on-line. Why not borrow an e-language course and learn Spanish, Italian or Thai? All free of charge of course, all you need is your library card. Relax with some classical music, download your favourite pieces using e-music, directly to your computer or digital audio player, which then become yours to keep. You can also download pop music via Musikwebben for 7 days at a time.
Read for children
We have a continually updated collection of children’s books. Reading for your child is a very important past-time to cherish and nurture. This early exposure to literature gives children a sound vocabulary with a proficient understanding of words before they start school. We also cooperate with pre-schools and schools. We all need to help to give children inspiration and a passion for reading.
