Sport and leisure

The Sport and Leisure Office which is a part of the municipal technical services organisation, runs and maintains Vikingen Sportshall, Ramunder Hall and the outdoor pool ‘Friluftsbadet’. You can get information about sports, leisure and outdoor life activities here.

The Sport and Leisure Office

The Sport and Leisure Office rents out municipal premises, sports facilities, football pitches, boat mooring in the Storån River, the dance floor by the canal, caravan parking and allotments. Rental is available at a fixed cost on a first-come, first-served basis. Physical Education lessons and youth sports are prioritised at the facilities.

Market trading

On Rådhus Square and Haga Square in Söderköping there are about 20 places for rent. For further information please contact the office.
Association grants and lottery permission
The Sport and Leisure Office is responsible for all contributions to youth organisations and for issuing lottery permissions.

Training camps

Sport and Leisure can offer lodging, food, training grounds, extra activities, a class room and training matches. 

Nature and woodland

Ramunderberget hill is a municipal nature reserve where paths and trails have been repaired over the last few years. The team ’Natur och Skog’, meaning nature and forest, is responsible for the maintenance of  the municipal nature reserve, the municipal woodland and Östergötland’s walking trail – Östgötaleden. The team also work on an assignment basis with different landscaping and nature conservation projects.

Znick

Znick is a team of workers who primarily perform repairs in municipal buildings and facilities but also wash and maintain municipal vehicles.

Bathing places

Seaside: Tyrislöt, Källbukten, Sanden, Husbyvik  Lakeside: Klarsjön, Skiren Canine Training Club
Söderköping’s Canine Training Club has its clubhouse at Mariehov with training grounds and agility fields.  Boat winterizing and storage
are available in Storån boatyard. The facilities are run by Söderköping’s Boat Club Outdoor pools
Bassängbad is located on Storängsparken 1 The pool is open to the public from the middle of June to August.

Golf course


9 km west of Söderköping you can find the Hylinge 27-hole golf course. The course is beautifully located on the banks of the Göta Canal and is run by the owners, Söderköpings Golf Club.

Exercise facilities

Petersburg recreation area:  Illuminated exercise tracks, artificial snow machine, cross-country skiing, sledging slopes. The lights are turned off at 9 pm.
Men’s and women’s sauna open daily from 12 pm to 9 pm, changing rooms open from 8 am – 9 pm.
Run by Söderköping’s Ski Club
Alboga – SOKcabin: Illuminated exercise tracks, cross-country skiing. The lights are turned off at 9 pm. Sauna, changing room, open during training evenings and on Sundays10 am -2 pm September to April (except for Christmas public holidays) Adventure playground ”Kottebanan” for children.
