St. Anna Archipelago

St. Anna archipelago is situated in the middle of the Östgöta Archipelago and stretches from Aspöja in the north to Södra Finnö in the south. This coastal stretch is known for its many nature reserves and thousands of islands and bays. Those who want to get out to an island during the summer can take the Skärgårdslinjen (archipelago line). You can also charter a boat, rent a kayak, water scooter or rowboat.

Norra Finnö - Swimming, boating and an archipelago museum - accessible by car

From Söderköping you take road 210 over Lagnö Bridge out to Norra Finnö. Here, you will find everything for the archipelago tourist: accommodations, swimming and service.  St. Anna Tourist Information is located at Gränsö and the staff  will gladly help visitors with maps and practical tips for a successful archipelago holiday. Open from mid-June to mid-August.
The Archipelago Museum, run by the St. Anna local historical association, located at Tyrislöt and will better insight to days of old, however also tells of living conditions today. The museum is open daily from Midsummer to the beginning of August. Groups are accepted from May-September.

Södra Finnö

Södra Finnö with its unique oak nature can be reached via road 210 and further on road 818. Here, you can visit a flatbread bakery, ride Island horses and there is a bathing site available at Torpa nature camping.

The castle ruin at Stegeborg

Next to Slätbaken the ruin of the 14th century castle Stegeborg is located. This was the summer palace of the Vasa family and King Johan III was born at Stegeborg. Today, there is a harbour tavern with a guest harbour bridge, a bathing place, camping, and hotels and of course, a chance to visit the castle ruin.

Ecumenical Chapel

An ecumenical chapel can be found on the island of Gärsholmen, at the outlet of Slätbaken. On Sundays from May - September, the church boat tour leaves from Cape Kungshäll in Bottna to arrive in time for the church service.
